This craft is really just a fun way to welcome your kiddos back after winter break. There are a few templates to choose from depending on how much time you want to spend on it; You can simply have students use markers to color their hats, or get a little more crafty with tinsel and pompoms!

This is a great New Years Eve activity but can also be done after winter break as you celebrate with students in the new year. I like to read The Magical YET by Angela DiTerlizzi before briefly chatting about growth mindset and some of the goals we might have (in place of new years resolutions). Whether you’re dancing around and waving your wand as you ring in the new year, or taking a moment after winter break to reflect on the year ahead, this craftivity is a fun, hands-on, and low-stress way to explore goal setting with a side of growth mindset.
