What is a Playful Learning Invitation?

Playful Learning Invitations all began with my oldest son; I found that, like all young children, he was fascinated by the world around him and would gravitate toward specific things from time to time; Sometimes it was an obsession with dinosaurs, other times it was a fascination with the night sky, stars, and planets. When those interests arose, I gently accommodated them with a healthy collection of books and occasionally some themed toys, but I wanted to take it to the next level and really allow him the opportunity to explore his interests in a more hands-on way. And Playful Learning Invitations were born!
They began with just a couple themed activities here and there whenever a new interest arose, and naturally evolved into what I am honored to share with you today. Each Playful Learning Invitation includes: a sensory setup, interest poster(s), SIX invitations per theme, and often a BONUS play dough invitation (or more)!
