INCLUDED:
What Time Is It, Mr. Crocodile?
This craftivity pairs perfectly with one of my favorite telling-time read alouds, What Time Is It, Mr. Crocodile? By Judy Sierra; Not only are the illustrations so fun (great for making inferences!) but Mr. Crocodile’s digital-time schedule at the beginning of the story is awesome to reference throughout the story as children spy the corresponding analog clocks.
Cuckoo Clock
This cut little craft is a great introduction to telling time, a review, or a culminating activity (that also makes an eye-catching bulletin board display!).
DIY Smartwatch
Year after year, this fun little craft is a hit! Students think they’re just having fun designing their own watch, but really, they’re being exposed to, exploring, and reviewing key concepts and skills.
It’s GROW Time!
I like to use this craft as a fun assessment piece as it’s much easier to prep the
craft by giving students a mix of times to match (i.e. not everyone has the
same times thus they cannot “copy” one another). You can, of course, print
the same one set for everyone and use as a scaffolded learning activity or an
extra-practice craft, but use as YOU wish!
